who is she?
meet the
woman behind
the work.
TEXAS ROOTs.
Shay Ann Haase was born and raised in Dallas, TX, where everything—from the hair to the personality—is bigger. Taking that to heart, Shay has been acting since she was a child, putting her larger-than-life attitude to good use on the stage. As an adult, Shay performed in over 25 productions in Dallas TX theatres in just 4 years, including Theatre Britain, the Pocket Sandwich Theatre, MainStage Irving, Theatre Frisco, and others, with her performance as Roz Hay in Moon Over Buffalo garnering local award attention as a final nominee for Best Supporting Actress in her very first year!
TRIPLE THREAT
As a dancer, Shay spent 12 years performing Ballet with Preston Center Dance, Power House of Dance, and as a Rangerette. In high school, she was a Division 1 nationally-ranked solo performer and earned several small group trophies in Hip Hop and Lyrical. Currently, she choreographs musical theatre for local high schools and theatres.
As a singer, Shay’s vocal performances drew attention from several New York cabaret companies—including Off-Broadway award winner Seth Birsen’s “Don’t Tell Mama” and Lawrence Neel’s NY Geek Cosplay Cabaret shows. She was a regular performer in both for all of 2020, bringing a wide variety of pieces to life from Broadway hits like “Simple Joys of Maidenhood” and “Popular,” to swinging classics like Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon” and Ella Fitzgerald’s “Dream a Little Dream of Me,” to pop of all decades from artists like Patsy Cline, Lady Gaga, and Miley Cyrus.
WEST COAST.
After moving to Oregon in 2021, Shay continued her involvement with the theatre community—conquering bucket list roles like Sandra Wilkinson in The Play That Goes Wrong, Agnes Evans in She Kills Monsters, and Queen Hermione in Winters’ Tale. By the end of 2023, she won Volunteer of the Year from Pentacle Theatre and added another 5 shows to her repertoire.
Sparks from a lifelong dream of film acting were set ablaze by the Portland indie film community for Shay, where she successfully landed several film and series’ roles in her transition to on-camera work.
power OF pose
Shay Ann Haase is a multi-published model, with her work showcased in Edith Glam, 6XF, Fashion France, Selin, Opium, Blaze Magazine, Taurus, Top Posters, Style Cruze, Beatica and more, including 3 featured covers in Q4 2023. With her extensive background in live theatre and ballet, Shay draws inspiration from what movement and the body can express without a word spoken—her favorite shoots tap into her inner dancer and hunger to explore, play, and feel.
off camera.
Off-camera and off-stage, Shay is all about her doggos, dice, and desserts.
Shay is a dog-mom to two very spoiled, equally needy and pathetic goofy, big boofers—Solo & Lando—who are her happy place. Like Shay, they are either on full speed or fast asleep—there is no in between setting!
She’s an avid gamer of all kinds (note: didn’t say anything about skill level!)—including console, computer, handheld, and table top gaming; however, her absolute favorite involves rolling the dice. Of course, scheduling a DND session for a group of adults is the real BBEG, so she doesn’t get to play as often as she likes.
She’s also an obsessive baker—she made her first wedding cake in 2022, a croquembouche in 2023, and a billion bakes in between from cheesy jalapeno bread to local-contest-winning peppermint macarons! It might be due to her southern upbringing, but she doesn’t like to show up to any gathering empty handed.
The road ahead
Eager to explore, craving creativity, and delighting in diverse experiences, Shay seeks opportunities to find her edge
and dive right off the cliff into the
abyss unknown.
